First Congregational Church (first) is dedicated.

December 1, 1863

Designed in the Gothic Revival style, the church is located on Fairmount Avenue in Everett Square. The congregation was established in 1860 and met first in rented commercial space. A.H. Washburn is the first minister. The wood-frame building is remodeled and enlarged in 1884. The congregation moves to a new building (second) on Webster Street in 1911.*
